Clean your face, you want to start with a fresh and clean canvas. Using the right cleanser will allow you to pamper your skin prior to applying makeup.
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. If you have dry skin, it is essential that you moisturize your skin prior to applying your makeup, but oily skin needs to be moisturized as well. Moisturizers can act as a temporary barrier for the skin and help maintain its natural balance.
Primer basically allows your foundation to last longer and go on smoother. The main benefit of a primer is that it seals your pores and creates a smooth base for your foundation.
Creates even and uniform color to the complexion by smoothing out the overall appearance of the skin. Foundations are designed to help reduce those unwanted imperfections like fine lines, wrinkles, or blemishes.
Concealer is most often used for under-eye circles and as a camouflage for blemishes, scars, and other causes of uneven skin tone. Concealers are typically able to cover discolorations and lighten dark areas of the skin.

Used to imitate the appearance of a natural tan, bronzers are used to highlight the cheekbones and add contour to the face in a natural-looking way. Its used as a way to enhance color on the face.
Blush adds color pop to your cheeks and can provide a more youthful appearance to the skin. It is able to add vivacity to the complexion while visually altering the shape of the face.
Highlighting is meant to give you that natural glow on the cheekbones, brow bone, above the eyebrow, down the nose, and even just above the upper lip (on the bow). It subtly draws attention to certain parts of the face that you want accentuated.
